Is there a free baseball GM game I can play in a browser?
Yes. Long Season is a free baseball management game that runs in a web browser. You take a club as its general manager, with no install, no account and no payment.
What you do as general manager
You set the roster, the lineup and the depth chart, then manage the club through a season and the playoffs.
- Trades, free agency, waivers and an amateur draft; AI clubs buy and sell at the deadline.
- One AAA affiliate per club with a 25 player cap, plus player development.
- Injuries rated minor, moderate, severe or season ending, and player morale.
- A scouting staff whose accuracy varies, so reports are not guarantees.
- Payroll with a luxury tax threshold.
- Awards, records, league leaders, power rankings, team analytics and franchise history.
How the games play
Every game is simulated pitch by pitch and produces a full box score. The league is calibrated to modern offensive levels, with a batting average around .250 and home runs on about 2.8 percent of plate appearances. Watch games on a 2D diamond or in a 3D broadcast style view with a scoreboard; the game remembers which view you picked.
You can also take over between the lines: Exhibition mode lets you call the pitches and swing the bat yourself. Seeded random numbers make any game reproducible, so a great comeback can be replayed exactly.
Starting today
There is nothing to download and nothing to pay. Open the site, pick Franchise on the main menu, choose your league settings and your club, and set your opening day roster. The franchise mode guide walks through the first steps.
If you want something smaller first, Quick Play drops you into a game with default teams and no setup, and a daily challenge sets one preset historical matchup each day.
